Historical Ensemble with a View

The listed ensemble of Beeskow Castle combines structures dating from 1250 to 1550, offering visitors the chance to delve into times past. The 30-meter-high keep, complete with an observation deck, provides a breathtaking view of the town and its surroundings.

Cultural Diversity: Theater, Music, and Exhibitions

Since the 1990s, the castle has become a lively venue for events. Theater performances, concerts, and festivals regularly bring the historic walls to life. In addition to permanent exhibitions, there are up to three temporary exhibitions at any time, focusing on painting, graphics, book art, sculpture, and photography.

Museum Oder-Spree: A Place for Learning and Innovation

For 65 years, the castle has housed the Museum Oder-Spree. In addition to regional history, the museum addresses current topics and serves as a workspace and forum for discussions on future-oriented issues. A museum workshop and exciting temporary exhibitions make every visit a unique experience.
Beeskow Music Museum: A Melodic Time Travel

The music museum on the castle grounds offers a fascinating collection of instruments from 1848 to 1927. Visitors can discover rare sound machines such as orchestrions, trumpet organs, and automatic pianos, and even listen to their tones. Several thousand music rolls for mechanical instruments are also part of the collection.

Castle Writers: Literature in a Historic Setting

Writers have the opportunity to live and work at the castle as part of the "castle writer" program. A stipend and free accommodation in the castle writer’s

room allow for full immersion in creative endeavors.

Culinary Delights and Relaxation

The café-restaurant cucina verde in the picturesque castle courtyard invites guests to linger. Here, visitors can relax with a coffee or a meal while enjoying the atmosphere of the historic site.

Beeskow Castle combines history, culture, and leisure, offering a varied program for all interests. Whether taking a stroll through the medieval ensemble, attending a concert, or exploring the museums, a visit is worthwhile any time of the year.
