The village church was built in the late 13th century. The granite blocks remain visible in the bottom part of the west tower, while the rest of the structure has been plastered over. The church was reshaped in the baroque style in the 18th century. In 1900, the interior was converted in a classicist style, based on designs by the architect Franz Schwechten. The most striking feature of the chancel are the clear lines of the pilasters. The altarpiece features a large painting by Gregor Boldio, who created the piece in 1631, based on Ruben’s ‘Descent from the Cross’. It has since been restored a number of times. There are a wooden epitaph and two relief headstones to commemorate Jost Friedrich Rudolf von Wulffen, who died in 1721. Visitors who are interested in arts will enjoy seeing the cast iron stove plate featuring vanitas symbols that is located on the northern side of the tower hall.
