The village church in Petersdorf is a towerless fieldstone building from the second half of the 13th century. There is no evidence of an earlier tower, but a carefully crafted pointed arch portal has been preserved on the west side, which was later bricked up.

The building ensemble includes a free-standing wooden belfry with two historic bells from the 14th/15th and 16th centuries. The altarpiece, a large-format panel painting, depicts the Last Supper. It was extensively restored in 2022. The date of origin of the painting, based on a graphic model by Maarten van Heemskerck (1548), is thought to be the late Renaissance in the 16th century. Inside the church is a chalice-shaped pulpit from the early 17th century. It depicts Christ and the four evangelists, each with their traditional symbol - 

Matthew (angel), Mark (lion), Luke (bull) and John (eagle).

Opposite the altar is a pneumatic organ from 1907, built by Friedrich Ernst Gustav Heinze from Sorau. It is one of the few surviving instruments by this organ builder in Brandenburg. The organ (Opus 13) has two manuals, pedal, pneumatic cone chests and several couplers. A partial restoration in 1994 by the Scheffler organ workshop made the first manual playable again; however, the overall condition is in great need of renovation. The church belongs to the Oderland-Spree church district of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia.
