The church built by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in Seelow adjoins the historical church quarter. The "Alte Dampfbäckerei" (old steam bakery) is part of it. The building was constructed in the middle of the 19th century, initially as a factory and commercial building. Since 1997, the two-storey clinker brick building has been home to an open ceramics workshop. A friends’ association organises exhibitions, concerts and readings there.
