The Großer Müllroser See is located in the Schlaubetal Nature Park and is characterised by its excellent water quality and species-rich fish stocks. With an area of 131 hectares and an average depth of 8 metres, it is one of the largest fishing waters in the region. The protected ‘Fischerwerdel’ island and fields of reeds and water lilies characterise the shoreline. Fishing spots are mainly located on the north and west banks, and boats can be launched in the north. Internal combustion engines are not permitted, electric motors only up to 1 kW.

Fishing licence sales: from the tenant and at the Schlaubetal Information Centre in the Haus des Gastes, Müllrose

The fishing waters are located in the protected area of the Schlaubetal Nature Park. Responsible anglers keep their distance from the reed and water lily areas so as not to disturb the plants and animals. Rest areas, hiking trails and seating areas should not be blocked. Shelter tents are not permitted in the Müllrose municipal area and vehicles may not be parked directly on the shore.
