The Seelow town park is located in the south-eastern part of the town and enhances the quality of life for both residents and visitors. Serving as a link between the town and nature, the park covers an area of 8.7 hectares and is home to many different trees and plants, where visitors can take long walks and enjoy views of the Oderland region from numerous vantage points. Information boards provide specific information for those interested. If you walk through the park, you will reach what is probably Seelow's most famous sight - the Seelow Heights Memorial. Hiking enthusiasts can start their journey directly from the park and join the European Hiking Trail. The structure of the park is characterised by former farmland and fallow land, which will be permanently converted into dry grassland in the long term. A particular attraction of the landscape lies in the alternation of the open and spacious hilltops with the small-scale mosaic of hollow paths, willow quarries, notch valleys and fragments of former orchards. It's no secret that spring is a particularly exciting time of year for nature lovers. And yet it is particularly worthwhile visiting the city park again after the long, cold, grey winter months.
