A surprising little gem near the region's hiking trails and cycle paths: a lovingly designed café with a small organic shop in the former cowshed of the Ihlow organic farm.

Here they serve freshly baked yeast fruit cakes, a traditional poppy seed cake, curd cakes with seasonal fruits, cake, hot bread from the clay oven (every Saturday from 11 a.m.) and freshly pressed juices. But it is their savoury treats that will make you regret having eaten beforehand: a wonderful salad with goat's cream cheese from the region, at least one choice of soup, and one vegetarian and one meat dish.

Once you're sitting on the idyllic meadow orchard next to the pond - habitat to many frogs, rare fire-bellied toads and herons - you won't ever want to leave again. In cold weather after a hiking tour or a tour of the village (traditional fieldstone buildings, antique shop, studios of local artists), there is nothing better than to enjoy a tea with rum in the dining area near the wood-burning fireplace, warm up and watch the world go by.

Children will love the pancakes with apple sauce, the crispy fried potatoes (which are far better than any French fries) and organic ice cream of course. They can also explore the large meadow, the pond and the village. You can watch rare Aubrac cattle, horses, sheep and goats grazing on the large meadows and chickens pecking for worms. You'll see frogs and toads right next to the café's tables and the two farm cats like to curl up in the sun, and we're sure that some of our guests like to join them.

Bunch is served every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The café is also open on public holidays (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.). By arrangement, groups can visit outside normal opening hours. And overnight accommodation is also available.
