Accompany the night watchman and his companions through the alleys of the historic old town. The path leads along the old city wall with its towers, along the outermost corner of the city, where the executioner is waiting and giving insights into his work. Mother Triebke is looking for her cat in front of the monks' hostel and is persuaded by the night watchman to reveal her embarrassing story. The rest in the drying tower is cheerful. Here the master brewer personally pours out a fine drop, talks about the custom of brewing beer and about the drinking bouts of olden times. The night watchman then takes you across the churchyard past the mighty St. Mary's Church to the "oldest house" in town.
