Start / End: Müllrose Market Square

Length: 6 kilometers

Route: Markt, Frankfurter Straße, Seeallee, Bahnhofstraße, Wildwinkel, Kohlgartenweg, Gartenstraße, Schiffbauerstraße, Kietz, Kirchhofgasse, Beeskower Straße, Markt

Route description

From the market square, the route leads into Frankfurter Straße with a view of the historic Müllrose Mill – the oldest still-operating mill in the Schlaubetal. It continues along Seeallee beside the shore of Großer Müllroser See. This 132-hectare lake offers rich impressions with waterbirds, sailboats, and ever-changing lake and sky views.

The path continues along Katharinensee to Hotel “Haus Katharinensee” and through Wildwinkel, passing a wildflower meadow that attracts many insects in summer. A bridge on Bahnhofstraße crosses the Katharinengraben, a watercourse with natural character and habitat for kingfishers.

Via Kohlgartenweg and Gartenstraße, the tour reaches Schiffbauerstraße and the 1925 fire station. A small exhibition presents Müllrose’s firefighting and shipbuilding traditions. The route then runs along Kleiner Müllroser See, with a nature discovery trail and views of the marina.

The return via Kietz, Kirchhofgasse and Beeskower Straße passes old houses and the town hall before ending at the market square.

Additional tips:

Extension: Kirchplatz with baroque town church, Schlaubetal information center, local museum, and nature park house.

Dining options:
  • Markt-Restaurant
  • Café & Bakery Dreißig
  • Restaurant at Hotel “Haus Katharinensee”
