Route description

From the “Schlagmühle” streetcar stop, first walk along the railroad tracks and turn left onto Garzauer Straße. Follow the road out of Strausberg and cross the busy bypass. Continue along Altlandsberger Chaussee until you turn right onto the “Hauptweg”.

The path leads through the small settlement area of Postbruch into beautiful countryside. From here, follow the “7” markings along the banks of the Bötzsee. Passing large and small bathing spots, the path meanders through shady mixed forest to the northern tip of the lake.

You reach the western bank along the “Spitzmühlenweg”. The path sometimes leads close to the shore, then again halfway up through the forest, where you can still find pure nature.

You soon approach the barrier-free Bötzsee lido, which has a wonderful sandy beach and invites you to take a refreshing dip in the cool water. After a refreshing break, you walk along Altlandsberger Chaussee and Garzauer Straße back to the “Schlagmühle” streetcar stop.

Worth seeing:
  • Barrier-free Bötzsee lido with boat hire
  • Spitzmühle mill
