The city tour takes you across the lively city bridge to the eastern side of the river to Słubice in Poland. The city tour starts at the German-Polish Tourist Information Office. Directly on the market square is St. Mary's Church, whose three impressive twelve-metre-high choir windows depict colorful medieval stained glass.

Along the Oder, you can cross the 250-metre-long bridge, which connects the two cities to form a twin city, from Frankfurt (Oder) to Słubice. The bridge serves as a symbol of the overcoming of borders in Europe and is illuminated at night.

The "Collegium Polonicum" is not only a joint teaching and research facility of the European University, but also offers a wonderful view of the Oder from its roof terrace.

Not far away is the "Smok" cultural center, which is the largest cultural center in Słubice and is both an exhibition and event venue. Here you can discover the OKNO gallery and stop off for a bite to eat in the local restaurant.

After the parish church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which can be seen from afar, you come to the Orthodox church. The influences of the Russian Orthodox religion are clearly visible in this building. The church's typical onion dome is particularly striking.

Afterwards, various green spaces invite you to linger. On "Plac Bohaterów" there is a barrier-free play and recreation area with modern seating and beautiful colorful fountains. On "Plac Wolności", a life-size statue of the "Käthchen von Heilbronn" commemorates the town twinning of Heilbronn and Słubice. The "Plac Przyjaźni" with its playful fountains is also a wonderful place to take a break. The way back leads over the city bridge back to Frankfurt (Oder) past the Viadrina Museum, where works of art from the Brandenburg State Museum can be viewed.
