The Reicherskreuz Heath near Henzendorf is part of the Schlaubetal Nature Park and extends over large parts of the former military training area. Today it is a very special habitat and offers ideal conditions for a species-rich animal and plant world. Halfway along the trail, the 4-hectare erratic boulder park can be seen from afar. The region is very rich in stones and the ice age has left its traces. In many places you can find larger and smaller erratic blocks. The man-made park blends harmoniously into the landscape.

Machined and unmachined erratic blocks have been impressively placed in the natural heath landscape and tell the story of the earth in their own way. Artists from Poland and Germany have carved stones according to Celtic and Hittite models. It is worthwhile to take a short picnic break here.

Return to the main path and after another 1.5 km follow the signs for the newly created nature trail. The 4 km long circular trail leads past the summer stables and the observation tower, from where you have a wonderful view over the wide heath landscape of the nature park.

A little tip: It is especially beautiful in August/September, when the heath shows its full violet colour splendour.

Places of interest along the route: erratic boulder park, Reicherskreuzer Heide, church in the form of a Finnish hut.
