The banks of the Lake Straussee are almost completely open to the public offer and fascinating views of the old town. There are 12 display panels with information about the history and present day. There are also natural bathing areas, sunbathing lawns and boat rentals for hot summer days.

Start / finish: ferry station

The starting point for the tour can be chosen flexibly.

Arrival: From Berlin Lichtenberg with RB26 (Küstrin-Kietz) every hour to Strausberg train station (approx. 20 min)
Departure: From Strausberg train station every hour with the RB26 to Berlin Lichtenberg (approx. 20 min).

  • 1 Gepkes Höhe - until 1920 the location of a lookout tower for Daniel Gepke, who built and operated the first Strausberg ferry
  • 2 “Christoph” - the Münch family's summer paradise
  • 3 Historical bathing area - history about the former bathing establishment
  • 4 Strausberg - as a popular excursion destination
  • 5 Upper School Center Strausberg - Landesjugendheim built in 1884
  • 6 Fischerkietz and electricity factory
  • 7 The “cradle” of Strausberg - in the middle of the 13th century the city developed from a market town, the former location of the monastery, today the location of the district court
  • 8 The Ferry “City Side” - In 1894 Daniel Gepke was awarded the contract to build a ferry
  • 9 Municipal bathing establishment - the municipal bathing establishment was inaugurated in 1925
  • 10 Lake promenade - with a view of the former clinic of Dr. Hamburger and on the tower of the catholic church
  • 11 Water Tower - The water tower built on Marienberg in 1910/11 is visible
  • 12 Städtische Oberrealschule - officially recognized in 1926, today Fontane Gymnasium
