Bomsdorf lies only a few kilometres south of Neuzelle. The small village has a very special history, as it never belonged to the Neuzell monastery estate. For many centuries, Bomsdorf was the ancestral seat of a noble family of the same name.

The estate, which has been renovated in recent years, and the manor house, which is also affectionately called the "castle", give an idea of the lively life that once took place here many centuries ago. The idyllic estate park borders directly on the estate. The valuable tree population and the many small ponds, which are strung together like a string of pearls, lend the park something of a fairytale. The old and partly very gnarled trees breathe something mystical into the park. In the midst of this beautiful park, in the shade of tall trees, is the burial place of the last knightly family of Kuno.
