Hanna Bieber-Böhm (1851 -1910) is one of the most important women's rights activists in Germany, who was particularly committed to the equality and gainful employment of women, to the protection of children and young people, and to improving the social conditions of young women. Hardly anyone knows that Hanna Bieber-Böhm left her mark in Neuzelle. In 1902, she bought a residential house on the Priorsberg for the Youth Protection Association, which served as a vintner's house in the monastery days and is now used as a boarding school for the students of the Rahn schools. She set up a youth recreation home for "pale, weak girls", which was also open to mothers with children and older women. The establishment of a home economics and horticulture school enabled women to better enter independent professional life after their return to Berlin.
