Route: Petersdorf, Rauener Berge, Marienhöhe, Rauener Berge, Paulsborn spring, Rauener Berge, Markgrafensteine, Rauener Berge viewing tower, Petersdorf
Arrival/departure by public transport:
  • From Berlin main station with RE1 towards Frankfurt (Oder) / Eisenhüttenstadt / Cottbus to Fürstenwalde/Spree, continue with bus 430/431 towards Wendisch Rietz / Bad Saarow (HELIOS) to “Petersdorf, Dorfanger”

Route description:

From Petersdorf, the route leads into the Rauener Berge. After climbing through the dense forest, you reach the observation tower, which rewards you with a panoramic view of Lake Scharmützel and the surrounding area. Not far from here are the Markgrafensteine - northern Germany's largest erratic blocks, which were formed during the Ice Age. The “Stone Tables”, another natural monument, are also located nearby.

The hike continues to the Paulsborn spring, which rises in the middle of the woods. The trail finally leads towards Bad Saarow and back to Petersdorf. The route is particularly quiet and is ideal for hiking with dogs. Sections with little traffic and wooded paths ensure a relaxed experience of nature.
