Coschen - a bridge between two countries

If you want to explore our region by bike, you shouldn't miss out on the Oder-Neisse cycle path. On the one hand because of the unique landscape and on the other hand, in Coschen one reaches neighboring Poland over a new bridge, which bears the melodious name "Neißewelle".

Until 1945 there was a wooden bridge over the Neisse in Coschen, which burned down during World War II. It would take 69 years before a new bridge was built across the border river into neighboring Poland. In 2014 the time had come and the bridge with the name “Neißewelle” was inaugurated. The bridge with its white arches shines from a great distance. Today it leads to Zytowan, a small village in Poland. From here you have various options to explore the country. On the left side you reach the headland of the Oder-Neisse estuary and the Boraksee, which invites you to take a dip in the cool water in the warm season. If you drive to the right in Zytowan, you get directly to Gubin and back to Germany via the bridge in Guben.

The Oder-Neisse cycle path and the Mönchstour lead directly through Coschen. The place is easy to reach by train (stop) - every hour from Berlin and to Berlin as well as from and to Cottbus.
