From the 860 meter long bridge with viewing platform you have a wonderful view over the river area between the former train stations Neurüdnitz and Siekierki (Poland). Comfortable seating areas with information on the history of the building and on the flora and fauna of the Oder Valley invite you to linger.

There were originally two bridges at this point: the first bridge was built in 1892 as a railway/road bridge and was converted in 1930 as a road bridge only. Today it has disappeared except for the bridge pillars. The second bridge was put into operation in 1930 exclusively as a railway bridge and was partially destroyed in World War II. In 1956 it was repaired again, but no longer used. Now it has been restored for cyclists and pedestrians.
