The building houses the archive and a research library dedicated to the life and work of the writer Günter de Bruyn. These offer a wide range of opportunities for academic research as well as for cultural and educational projects. The complex is complemented by the “Märkischer Dichtergarten” (Markish Poets’ Garden) in the inner courtyard, which is used for events and gatherings.

A guest apartment on the upper floor is available for extended stays, expanding the building’s functionality. Guided tours, exhibitions, and readings round out the cultural offerings.

The house combines historic architecture with literary heritage and serves as a central cultural hub in Beeskow.
