The Oderhafen in Groß Neuendorf was built in 1953 and was a goods transhipment point. The grain was dried and cleaned in the machine house, temporarily stored in the stores and then loaded onto rail wagons or ships via the former conveyor bridge via the loading tower and transported on to the region, to Berlin or even to England. Until the Oderbruchbahn was closed in 1966, there was a lot of activity in Groß Neuendorf, even passenger ships docked here.

In 2005, today's "Kulturhafen Groß Neuendorf" was renovated. The core of the listed ensemble consists of two towers that can be seen from afar - the former machine house, which now houses a hotel, and the former loading tower. The two dissimilar brothers are connected by a 70-meter conveyor bridge made of steel framework, which has been converted into a public viewing platform.

Today there is a holiday apartment and a café in the old loading tower. Three historical railway wagons of the former Oderbruchbahn are available to spend the night on the remaining three track layers of the port. They are from the same construction period as the loading tower and have also been renovated with a lot of attention to detail that is appropriate for the monument. On the Oder terrace there is also a bar wagon for the open-air area and in the atmosphere of a 1920s saloon car you can experience old Berlin cabaret, romantic piano evenings, readings and much more in the theater wagon.
