A special feature in Lichtenow is the fire station built into the wall surrounding the church area. As is common in the country, the prison cell was also integrated into the Lichtenow fire station. The hose tower at the Spritzenhaus was built in 1929. A cistern with a hydrant has been located to the west of the fire station since 1934.
