The terraced house on the outskirts of Berlin, which is only 54 square metres in size, served as a retreat for the Ditzen family and was also a productive workplace for Fallada. In this place of remembrance, the municipality of Neuenhagen pays tribute to Fallada as a writer, but also as a loving husband and father as well as a children's book author. It also depicts the development in the garden city of Neuenhagen during Fallada's time.

The museum can only be visited by prior appointment by telephone (see contact details).
