The small museum facility has existed in Neulewin in a former Bürdner house since 1989. The former workers' house was built around 1875 for 2 families. Typical construction of the house after the draining of the Oderbruch is a bricked half-timbered structure, central aisle, entrances from the street and courtyard side, no basement.

Furniture, objects, devices of daily and earlier use are exhibited in the rooms. The purpose of the Heimatstube is to bring visitors closer to the life of ordinary citizens and farm workers in their living environment, with the housework and the difficult life of that time.

The Heimatstube Neulewin was awarded the cultural heritage seal in 2018.
