The train station in Erkner on the railway line between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder) was taken into operation in 1842. In 1928, Erkner became the terminal station of Berlin’s now electric S-Bahn (rapid transit train). The old S-Bahn railcar depot from the 1920s is now home to a collection of historic railcars built between 1925 and 1979, owned by the association Historische S-Bahn e.V.

More than 20 railcars from over 80 years of railway history in Berlin can be admired here. Enthusiasts will also find a wide range of S-Bahn themed souvenirs, including books, various postcards, mugs, pins, as well as track diagrams of Berlin’s S-Bahn network.

Groups can visit the railcar depot with its carefully restored museum vehicles on special occasions and by arrangement.
