The Kleine Stienitzsee is located in the middle of the village of Hennickendorf. The bathing area on the south-eastern side of the lake offers a large sunbathing lawn at the water's edge with a shallow entrance into the water and a short sandy section. A bio-toilet is available.

Parking is possible along the lakeside road directly behind the bathing area, and access to the bathing area is also from here. The lake is surrounded by trees, which also provide some shade around the sunbathing area.
