In the midst of the Rauen mountains, rising above a height of 153 meters, stands the Rauen lookout tower. Built from a steel structure, wobbly legs and soft knees are guaranteed after climbing 209 steps to the open viewing platform. Nevertheless, the ascent of the 45-meter-high tower is worth it, because a breathtaking view over the Scharmützelsee region is guaranteed. The view over Fürstenwalde and Rauen is also unique. With good visibility, the Berlin TV tower can be seen to the west and Tropical Island to the southwest.

Important: admission is via secured turnstile and costs Euro 1 per person. The machine accepts Euro 0.50 and Euro 1 coins.

Arrival by car/ parking facilities:

From the parking facilities you have to hike about 2 kilometers to the lookout tower. It is not possible to drive directly to the lookout tower by car.
