In years of work and with partly considerable effort but also with a lot of support, it was possible to create the framework conditions for this new water-transport connection. In addition to the construction of various fixed buildings, a tourism infrastructure accompanying the ferry, partly new, had to be conceived and implemented on both sides of the Oder. This was also achieved by various individual projects of different institutions, whereby the RGV Schlaube Oderland e.V. often played a leading role.

Regional German-Polish large-scale project of the office Brieskow-Finkenheerd and the municipality Cybinka supported by: EUROPEAN INTERREG PROGRAMME 2014-2020, State of Brandenburg, Lubuskie Voivodeship

The ferry connection is only possible within the following Oder water levels (Eisenhüttenstadt), due to navigation police requirements:
  • Minimum water level: 230 cm
  • Maximum water level: 350 cm
