Since 2024, a ferry (subject to a fee) has been operating between the German town of Aurith and the Polish town of Urad, situated in the immediate vicinity of the Oder-Neisse Cycle Route. Here, walkers and cyclists can easily cross the Oder, the river forming the border, and explore the other side. Between the permanent border crossing points at Frankfurt (Oder) and Guben, the ferry service enhances the border region and marks a milestone in the development of tourism in the Oderland. The cycle path network is connected on both sides of the border, making it easy to (re)discover the other country.

  • Minimum water level: 230 cm
  • Maximum water level: 350 cm
  • The current daily water levels can be viewed online and on the Schlaube Oderland e.V. website.
