Nestled between the River Oder and the Oder-Spree Canal lies our base in Eisenhüttenstadt – affectionately christened ‘Iron Hut City’ by Tom Hanks. The town captivates with its two distinct faces: the listed, socialist model town on one side, and the historic district of Fürstenberg with its narrow alleyways and old fishing quarter on the other.

Route highlights: For day trips, passing through the impressive twin shaft locks is a real highlight, allowing you to navigate a 14-metre difference in height with ease. On multi-day trips, you’ll sail along the Oder-Spree Canal to the Kleiner Müllroser See, where the romantic Schlaube Valley begins, with its unspoilt forests and historic mills. Via the Wergensee, you can even continue along the Spree as far as Beeskow and the Schwielochsee.
The rafts: space for up to eight people, no licence required and equipped with a weather-protected cabin.
