Coffee has been roasted at the DEKAFFEE roastery in Erkner since 2014. Located directly on the EuroVelo R1 and Spree Cycle Route, the roastery is situated opposite the Gerhart Hauptmann Museum. Since 2026, Marlen Ring and Tobias Mehrländer have been running the business.

Master roaster Tobias Mehrländer slowly roasts green coffee beans from Africa, Asia and South America in small batches. The range includes more than 20 varieties, from signature blends such as “Der Erkneraner” and “Espresso Erkner” to the cycling-inspired coffee “Rückenwind”.

Coffee and seasonal drinks can be enjoyed on the terrace, accompanied by cinnamon rolls or freshly baked cake (Wednesday to Saturday). The various coffees are available as whole beans or freshly ground, with personalised labels available on request. The coffees can also be ordered through the online shop.
