Kulturfabrik Fürstenwalde gGmbH is a socio-cultural centre run by the municipal authorities with a broad cultural programme aimed at all age groups. In addition to the wide range of events, exhibitions and courses, the Kulturfabrik also includes the women’s team Frauen in der Fabrik, a children's shop and a socio-cultural centre called Parkclub for young people, the young-at-heart and those who have stayed in the city, as well as the city museum and the art workshops. The municipal library is also located under the roof of the Kulturfabrik. The building was constructed in 1891 as a brewery.
