The town's landmark, Beeskow castle, was built in the 13th century. Today, the castle complex is a cultural and educational centre. Numerous theatre performances, concerts, festivals and exhibitions breathe life into the old walls. The 27-metre high castle keep with viewing platform affords magnificent views. Easily visible from afar, you will find St Mary's church, one of the largest and most beautiful brick churches in Brandenburg, in the middle of the Old Town. The oldest house in eastern Mark Brandenburg is at Kirchgasse, and it takes its visitors on a little journey through time. Visitors can admire the many lovingly restored residential and commercial buildings in the centre of the town.

But there is more to Beeskow than just history: it is surrounded by many lakes and the Spree river which winds its way through the Old Town, offering plenty of recreational opportunities for water lovers. Other attractions include the old river baths, the weir system and the hilly pastures and its ever hungry ducks.

The team at the town information centre is happy to help you plan your trip.
