Two countries, two cities lie opposite each other on the banks of the middle Oder. The Kleist city of Frankfurt (Oder) and the Polish city of Slubice, linked not only by the city bridge. The once mighty university, trading and Hanseatic city of Frankfurt (Oder) also has much to see and experience on both sides. The Marienkirche, one of the largest hall churches of the North German Brick Gothic style in Germany, the former Franciscan monastery church, now the C.P.E. Bach concert hall (Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, German composer), the town hall, one of the largest medieval town halls in Germany, museums, parks, galleries and theatres are just a few examples.
