The archery course “Zum Bogenbiwak” is located on a ten hectares big wooded area on the edge of the municipality Groß Wasserburg in Spreewald Forest. Amateur archers can currently discover 20 stations with 30 animal statues made of a special plastic material, and have a go at traditional, instinct-based archery. In addition to focus and tension, self-confidence is key when it comes to hitting the targets. A new attraction is the indoor archery gallery that is a good alternative for days with poor weather, as well as for all types of events.

Inexperienced and newbie archers are instructed by the operator and are soon able to have a go. The required equipment is provided at the on-site archery store that also sells archery equipment. One-day courses for groups of five or more people are available by arrangement.

Please make sure to call in advance to make an appointment and avoid unnecessary waiting times.

The opening hours of the archery store are identical with those of the archery course. The course closes one hour before sunset, registration is possible until 5 p.m. The “Bogenbiwak” premises are also home to three holiday apartments and a little café.

You can also explore the area by raft (no boating license necessary). Your starting point is the raft rental business “Spreebummler” at Lake Neuendorfer See. From here you can travel along the Krumme Spree riverway to Lake Schwielochsee and beyond. Krumme Spree is lined with trees and vast stretches of fields and woodlands. Experiencing a sunset from a raft is a truly special experience. It is also possible to rent sea kayaks (two kayaks are available) from here, to paddle through the wonderful Unterspreewald area.
