There are many interesting places and landscapes to discover by bike all around Straupitz: to the south there are the town Burg and the Leichhardt-Trail to Cottbus, the Gherkin Cycle Path leads to Lübben in the west, Lake Schwielochsee is located to the north, and Lieberoser Heide is reached by cycling in easterly direction.
