This tour is the first stage of the Spreewald Five-Castles Tour, starting at Branitz Castle in Cottbus—where the Pückler family once resided—and heading deep into the Spreewald to Burg and on to Lübbenau Castle, home of the Counts of Lynar.

Length: 38 km (day trip)

Start: Branitz Castle, Cottbus

Destination: Lübbenau Castle

Getting There/Leaving by Public Transportation:
  • From Berlin Central Station, take the RE2 to Cottbus (approx. 1.5 hours).
  • From Lübbenau Central Station, take the RE2 to Berlin (approx. 1 hour)


Route:

Cottbus–Burg–Lübbenau

Sights and Points of Interest:

  • Historic Old Town with the Spremberg Tower, Altmark, and the monastery church
  • Brandenburg Pharmacy Museum
