The corn cockle tour "Kornradenweg" is named after a rare field weed - the corn cockle. The circular tour connects the post-mining landscape with the Lower Lusatian ridge. Witnesses to the old cultural landscape can be found along the way: the Bornsdorf castle tower, the Görlsdorf manor house, the watermill in Goßmar and a Slavic hillfort that is over 1,000 years old and is a reminder of the early settlers. Thousands of cranes and geese rest in the fields and meadows in autumn. The birds can be easily observed from the crane tower. It is also worth climbing the tower on the edge of the Borcheltsbusch nature reserve at other times of the year. The view extends over the moor of the same name as far as the post-mining landscape and the Höllenberge mountains. This is where the Höllberghof is located. The farm replica celebrates rural customs at events.

Notes:

The circular tour can be started at various locations, for example at the car park at Höllberghof, at the Kranichturm or at the Heinz Sielmann Wanninchen Adventure Centre. Although there is no direct railway connection, the Luckau-Uckro and Walddrehna railway stations are very close by.

The tour leads along mostly quiet local roads and country lanes. Some sections are sandy and - depending on the weather - can be difficult to cycle on at times.

The Höllberghof only opens its doors for groups or events by prior arrangement.
