In order to allow cycling enthusiasts, families and locals to enjoy the natural diversity of the area in their free time, a forest path has been established between Lieberose and Liebitz – so you can finally get pedalling here, too.

There are lots of scenic features as well as stop-off options on the way: in addition to the forests and fields, cyclists can take in different forms of vegetation, depending on the geological relief structure.

There are eateries in Goyatz, while telephone bookings can be made in Groß Liebitz and Lieberose.

Route: Goyatz – Leichhardt cabin – Lamsfeld – Groß Liebitz – Klein Liebitz – Lieberose – Doberburg – Goyatz

Sights:
  • Lake Schwielochsee – the biggest natural lake in Brandenburg
  • The railway carriage at the historic Spreewald railway station building in Goyatz
  • The churches of Lieberose
  • One of Brandenbug’s biggest Baroque palaces in Lieberose
  • The Darre – a former pine cone seed drying plant, now a museum and restaurant
  • Possible combinations: Leichhardt Trail, Lake Schwielochsee Circuit Tour, Historic Town Centres Route 6, Off to the Spreewald, ...
  • Trail conditions: interesting, varied
