Follow the fascinating trail of the Spreewald storks. On the Lübbenau Stork Tour you can see these graceful birds in their nests and in the wild, while the Stork Centre gives you fascinating insights into how they live. You can explore the living environment of 100 white stork couples and five black stork couples who raise their offspring here every year.

  • Train: Take the RE2 (Cottbus) from Berlin Gesundbrunnen to Lübbenau (approximately 1 hour).
  • Car: Take the A13 motorway from Berlin to Lübbenau (approximately 1.5 hours).

Route: Lübbenau, Boblitz, Raddusch, Vetschau, Stradow, Leipe, Lübbenau

Route description: The tour takes you via Bobitz to the first stork nest, then to Raddusch to the moors and marshes and Raddusch farm shop – where you are introduced to the secrets of the linseed oil press – and finally to Vetschau Stork Centre. Past fish ponds, water mills, meadows and forests and along riverways, our cycle back to Lübbenau via the Spreewald village of Leipe.
