The church in Dissen is a true gem. The present building was erected in 1772 after a large-scale village fire. It instantly captivates visitors with its wooden painted ceiling. The life of Jesus is depicted in images on the gallery, framed by passages from the Bible in German and Wendish. One remarkable feature is the Star of David in the tower, which was installed in 1937 and was not destroyed during the Nazi era. Why?
