Colourful perennials are surrounded by hornbeam hedges. East of the pond, there is a meadow orchard with trees that are up to 50 years old. The idyllic terrace that protrudes into a pond, is a lovely place to sit down and relax. There is also an aquatic playground for the little ones, and a moor bath garden with a little pub and a café.

The castle grounds are no longer home to a castle, as it was destroyed in the Thirty Years War. However, there are beautiful gardens that were also restored by Mr Eckebrecht. Hornbeam hedges were used to divide the gardens into different areas. Among these are, for example, a water garden and a rose garden.
