Lieberrose, first mentioned in a document in 1301, is the “pearl of lower Lusatia”. To enable guests to explore this beautiful town and the surrounding area, the Lieberose friends’ association has designated 8 hikes in and around Lieberose. Each one combines the idyllic scenery with the charm of this small town and its historic buildings. The tours are close to bus stops so it is possible to use public transport, but parking is also available.

The Lake Tour is one of the longer tours through the varied landscape in the area east of Lieberose. Passing through the palace park with the nursery and the chapel with the Schulenburg cemetery you walk through fields and lush meadows by the Pulverteich. This is where the powder mill stood that belonged to Hans Ehrlich, who was killed in the Thirty Years’ War.

The path leads on through the district of Blasdorf via the B320 along the shore of Lake Raduschsee to Mochlitz and from there back to Lieberose. The Franzosenkanzel at the Fleischerluch and the concentration camp memorial next to the cemetery are dedicated to historical events.
