The Spreewald Forest, is a lowland region traversed by a dense network of streams, called “Spreewald Fließe” (1,000 km of water branches). Fields, meadows, and woodlands make up this exceptional nature and cultural landscape. Deep inside the Spreewald, where nature has remained its most natural and pure, lies the idyllic community of Burg. About 300 natural waterways, sprawling fields and well-preserved farmsteads shape the regional landscape.
