The members of Paul-Gerhardt-Verein Lübben e.V. have set up an information centre on Paul Gerhardt in the manor house at the address Am Kleinen Hain 43 in Lübben – the last place where the great German hymn writer Paul Gerhardt worked. This is a place where Lübben residents and visitors to our town will find particularly interesting information about Paul Gerhardt. The centre is also a special point on the Paul Gerhardt Trail, which begins in Berlin at the St. Nicholas’ Church, leads through the southern part of Berlin to Mittenwalde, before running from there via Märkisch Buchholz and Schlepzig to Lübben, ending at the Paul Gerhardt church.
There is a lot to read, look, listen and discover – visitors will find out about Paul Gerhardt, his poetry, his love of nature, his deep faith and his conflict with the local lord at the time. The exhibition is self-explanatory. The blue colours of the walls creates a sense of stillness, immersing you in a different age.
There is a corner where visitors can sit and engage in dialogue with each other or simply absorb what they have seen and heard.
