Tauer local history museum is located directly on the cycle path. Here visitors can find out about Sorbian/Wendish customs and how the Sorbs/Wends lived from the 19th century onwards. The aesthetically furnished museum is housed in a former bakery. The highlight is an oven which is still functional. Visitors can test the quality of the baked products for themselves at museum festivals. In the living room, guests are transported to another era and learn interesting facts about a bygone age. There is also an idyllic, unspoilt courtyard with farm buildings and a small garden containing flowers and herbs. The Fryco Rocha section provides information on the Wendish teacher, writer and folk poet who was born in the Schönhöhe district.
