In the former gravel pit on the eastern edge of the village, local residents have created a small bathing area. The wide beach in the main bathing area consists entirely of light-coloured gravel and has seating. The lake is fairly small and along the shore there are other bathing spots with sunbathing lawns and benches. At the main beach there are shelters, an information panel and parking facilities.

The Ludwig Leichhardt Trail leads directly past the lake – a good opportunity for a refreshing break on this 55-kilometre tour.
