The national park town of Schwedt/Oder lies is the north-east of Germany, close to the border with its Polish neighbours. However, the canal – the Hohensaaten-Friedrichsthaler waterway – is even closer to Schwedt than the River Oder.

The town of Schwedt/Oder lines the shores on one side, and on the other lies the Unteres Odertal national park, one of the last natural water meadow landscapes in Central Europe. As the unmistakeable landscape has developed over the centuries, so too has the town of Schwedt/Oder grown over time.

Schwedt tourist information centre can arrange:

  • Overnight accommodation in hotels, guest houses, holiday homes and holiday apartments, private rooms, campsites and caravan sites
  • Guided tours of the natural landscape
  • Guided canoe tours through the Unteres Odertal national park
  • Guided tours of Schwedt/Oder and Stettin (Szczecin)
  • Boat trips

Schwedt tourist information centre can provide:

  • Information material about the Unteres Odertal national park, the history of the region and places to visit on both sides of the River Oder
  • Information about the opening hours of the museums, exhibitions and leisure facilities
  • Event tickets, Reservix, concert tickets and event tips for Schwedt/Oder and the region
  • Cycling and hiking maps
  • Souvenirs, postcards and regional products
  • Information about day trips and adventure tours
