The seventh stage of the part of the Oder-Neiße Cycle Path that is located in Brandenburg takes cyclists from Schwedt (Oder) to Löcknitz (74 kilometres). The route goes along the Oder dyke towards Gartz (Oder). The wetlands of the Oder appear endless here. The area is protected as part of the Lower Oder Valley National Park, and it is among Europe’s most beautiful wetlands. Behind Mescherin, the route moves away from the river Oder as the border to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is crossed.
