Along the route there are several lovingly restored village churches as well as the Roland statue on Potzlow market square. Between Potzlow and Fergitz, the Drei-Seen-Blick rest area offers an impressive panorama of the lakes. When you get to Warnitz, you can browse the handmade souvenirs at Quarzsprung, the ceramics workshop.

How to get there:

Train: From Berlin central station take the RE3 (Stralsund) to Prenzlau (about 1.5 hours).

Car: From Berlin via the A11 to Prenzlau (approximately 1.5 hours).

Route: Prenzlau, Seelübbe, Seehausen, Warnitz, Suckow, Fergitz, Potzlow, Zollchow, Röpersdorf, Prenzlau

Tour option: One of the most popular SeenTour (lake tour) options is the 25-kilometre cycle-and-boat tour that starts in Prenzlau and goes to Warnitz via Röpersdorf and Potzlow. Depending on the schedule in operation at the time, the passenger boat Onkel Albert takes you across the lakes Oberuckersee and Unteruckersee back to Prenzlau. From the deck of the boat you’re likely to spot a crane or perhaps even a wild boar or a sea eagle as you pass through one of the largest reedbed areas in Germany.
