"She grew up in pictures" - as she puts it herself. Her childhood and youth were defined by intense engagement with the history of art and in depth study of free and applied arts. In her paintings, Bettina Mundry’s imagination runs wild, like a boat on the open sea. They always tell a story without any visible effort or citing any substitute symbols. The pictures reflect moods ranging from harmony to belligerence, irony to dream dancing.
