The 300-year-old former manor house in Brüssow was the sculptor Volkmar Haase’s retreat from 2003 until he passed away in 2012. The house and gardens exhibit a cross-section of the sculptor’s work from 1958 in iron, the first stainless steel “Fächerformationen” (fan formations) developed from the triangle, to the gentle “Wogen” (wave) forms of 1989/90 and the “Zirkular-Zitat” (circular quotation), a free-flowing form.

In addition to sculptures spanning several decades, there are also drawings, paintings, graphics/etchings and lino cuts. Large sculptures have been installed in the courtyard, the garden and part of the former manor estate, a landscape defined by gentle rolling hills.
